GoStart membership is free of charge.
GoStart is a local charity providing Community Transport for people who may struggle to access public transport or travel independently. Our membership service helps residents stay connected with their community by providing safe, reliable and accessible transport.
Many people are unaware that they may already qualify to use our services. If you meet the eligibility criteria below, you can register to become a GoStart member and start using our transport services.
Who Can Become a Member
You may be eligible to join GoStart if you meet at least one of the following criteria:

You are aged 65 or over

You are registered disabled or have restricted mobility

You are isolated due to location or personal circumstances
Our aim is to support people who may find it difficult to access everyday transport options and help them remain active, independent and connected to their community.
Membership Cost
Membership with GoStart is completely free of charge.
Once registered, members can begin booking journeys and using our services in line with our transport schedule and availability.
Registering as an Individual
To use GoStart services, you must first register as a member.
The easiest way to register is by calling our office, where our team will arrange for a registration form to be sent to you. The form must be completed before any journeys can take place.

Group Membership
GoStart also supports local organisations and community groups.
Registered groups including community organisations, charities, non-profits, schools and care homes can register with GoStart and make use of our minibus hire service.
This service helps groups organise trips, activities and outings for the people they support.
Online Registration
We are currently developing an online registration form to make joining GoStart even easier.
This will allow new members to sign up digitally and begin the registration process online. More information will be available soon.
Data Protection
GoStart complies with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
We securely store passenger information on our database so that we can manage bookings and keep members informed about GoStart services and updates.
Any passenger who wishes to have their personal information removed from GoStart records can request this at any time, and the request will be carried out promptly.
